British Legion Assembly

6th Nov 2015

We had a wonderful assembly with some representatives from the British Legion. They shared with us some information from the wars and why we wear a poppy.  When we returned to class, we wrote an acostic poem to help us remember the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.  We hope you enjoy reading it.

Remembrance day

Red poppies on display

Every year in November

Medals to celebrate victory

Each wreath a story tells

Mighty heroes defending our freedom

Battle fields, the stench of war

Each soldier sacrificed their all

Respect them. Lest we forget.
