We were very lucky to receive a visit from the brand new Translink electric bus today!
Translink are on a mission to reduce the carbon emissions in our city and Londonderry is one of the first cities in the UK to have a full fleet of 38 electric metro buses! This greatly reduces emissions, which helps look after our environment and provide us with much cleaner air in our area.
This week, as part of Global Actions week, our eco schools committee have been learning all about how our actions can have an affect on our planet. We know that we all must work together to look after our one shared planet. Translink are now aiming to reduce emissions caused by transport in Northern Ireland by 50% by 2030.
